How much of a time commitment is scouting?
Your commitment to your den & pack is limitless however as a pack we meet once a month. Den meetings typically meet once per week. We aim to have pack activities 4-5 times a year and take part in Epping parades & celebrations.
Will my child enjoy it?
We might be a little biased, but absolutely! We were all in the same spot as you are right now. The best way to see how your child will do with scouting is to attend a pack or den meeting. Chances are his friends are already involved and this gives you a new perspective on watching your scout grow. Games, activities, crafts, marching, camping, learning all in an engaging format!
Are uniforms required?
Yes. The cub scout uniform can be purchased at the Scout Store in Manchester You can also find supplies online at the scout stuff store as well as through eBay or Amazon. The pack also maintains a ‘swap shop’ and we may have uniform pieces for free.
